Contentment -the modern Church has told us to forget it, put your trust in God and he will give you all your heart's disires plus. So if you have enough faith, you will want for nothing.

Php: 4,11-12 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Why is it we long for only the very best God can give us, have we all forgotten about Job and what he had to say?
Job 1:21,22 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Here we can see that Job showed that no matter what happens , God is to be praised, due to the fact everything on and in the earth is His and that if He chooses to give or take, that is up to him and that being God it would not be out of malice but always for the greater good which we can not yet see.

But today there are those within the Church who preach that God wants nothing but good for us all and that a truly loving God would never allow us to suffer in any way. This is not to say that you should not have wealth, but we truly need to see that it is not ours to do what we want with it when we follow Christ. Any wealth we are given is to be used for our needs and then what ever is left for the needs of others. So that then the others will truly see you are from the Father, just as Jesus was seen to be: Giving up all the riches of Heaven to come down here to show us just how the Father wants things done- even to the point of death if need be.

Remember , we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and then all our needs will be met no matter what; not wants but needs -there is a big difference!

James teaches us we should learn and not seek after our own desires, but the will of the Lord in our life. Jas 5:10, 11 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

So therefore, be not lead to believe all you will hear from the pulpit before you have studied it for yourselves under the unction of the Holy Spirit, not under man's leading. For we are all told of the fact that such men will come and teach these things.
1Ti 6:5, 6 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Let us come boldly unto the throne of Grace. Heb: 4, 16

For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Heb: 4, 15-16

Repent for the time is short, why is it that you hardly hear this preached from the pulpit anymore? It is what we are all called to do for if we do not then we are damned. Why would we not have it preached, are we afraid to speak the truth as our Lord told us to, will it offend people now, are people different than at any other time in history? Or maybe it is our Saviour who has just realised that all we need is the soft touch today?

Get real, from a High Priest who was tempted in all points like us. What is going wrong today, we have a saying from old that says "if it aint broke don't fix it".

In all past generations "the repent for the time is short!" has worked just fine so why change it? Do we not want people to turn from their sins or do we just want to get them in the door and hope that later they will turn from their sins? Is salvation a free gift or are we now selling it for our own gain? For nearly every meeting you now go to they will tell you, you need this book & or CD for your personal collection; if you don't get it you will be missing out a pearl from God being invested into your heart from God. WRONG!!!

Repent from such things and purify your hearts and then you will be able to come boldly to the throne of grace, for it is then you will obtain mercy from the one who has been tempeted in all points and does know how it feels to be rejected by others and then His mercy will bring the comfort your heart has always desired.

Let go of the vain glories of other men who are only praising God for the fact that their own coffers are now filling up thanks to the manipulation of the scriptures to bring about their own prophecy of so called Gods provision.

Yes repent and ask forgivness of our sins, for whether we choose to acknowledge them or not, you have them. Then this is the one true way for all to receive the free gift of salvation, the forgiveness of our sins, being set free from the shackles that have bound us all our life. It is then will find the love and mercy that we all so truly desire. Being embraced by our loving saviour and receiving both the pure white garment of righteousness and the crown of glory. Amen

The truth about being a Christian it's all about pure relationship first and foremost having a relationship with the Father through the Holy Spirit in Christ in Love by His Grace.
Then it is also having relationship with others that they may know the same type of relationship that you should have with the God head.
This then when you put them together it gives you a cross, and that is what it is all about.
They can only come together when you have both in your life; but sadly today many a person who calls themselfs Christian only has one or the other.
When you come to salvation it is not just all about you and what God can bring about in your life; but it's about you laying down your life for all others that God may bring into it.
Upon reciveing salvation into your life God calls you to give it up so that you will reap everlasting life. The way that it happens is from then on God will improve your life by you alowing Him to lead you in to a life liked to Jesus, sacrficeing it from then on in for others.
This is what is called takeing up your cross. Amen
